Precision at Scale: Transforming Data into Evidence-Based Decisions
Myriad’s quantitative research approach is designed to generate measurable, generalisable, and operationally relevant findings. Through the systematic collection and analysis of numerical data, we support clients in identifying patterns, trends, and relationships between variables as a robust foundation for evidence-based decision-making.
Our quantitative studies are implemented with strong attention to sample design quality, instrument precision, and the integrity of data collection and processing throughout the research lifecycle. In practice, quantitative research is applied both as a standalone approach and in combination with qualitative methods, depending on the research objectives and the level of analytical depth required. Beyond data collection, Myriad provides rigorous analytical support to transform raw numbers into actionable intelligence. Our team employs a range of analytical techniques tailored to the study’s objectives, transforming clean and valid datasets into clear answers for complex research questions.
Face-to-face surveys supported by digital tools (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing/CAPI) enable accurate, well-controlled, and context-rich data collection. From our experience, this method is particularly effective in settings with limited digital access or when topics require direct explanation and interviewer support. Myriad began implementing the CAPI face-to-face method in 2013. The first study using this approach was conducted in collaboration with USAID and the Ministry of Education to carry out the National Assessment of Reading Ability, in partnership with RTI International. The application used for implementing assessments and questionnaires is called Tangerine. Since then, Myriad has conducted numerous research studies using the CAPI method and has started using various CAPI software to facilitate the process of collecting data for monitoring field acquisition and ensuring the quality of data collection.
In practice, clients typically choose this approach to:
Telephone surveys (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing/CATI) offer time- and cost-efficient data collection while maintaining strong interview quality control. This approach is well suited for reaching geographically dispersed respondents.
In many of our studies, CATI has been implemented using a Web Assisted Telephonic Interviewing (WATI) approach, enabling interviewers to integrate web-based instruments, visual stimuli, and structured response capture while maintaining direct interaction with respondents.
In practice, clients typically choose this approach to:
Online and mixed-mode surveys combine multiple data collection channels to expand respondent coverage and improve response rates. This flexible approach can be tailored to the characteristics of the target population.
In practice, this approach is often used to:
Self-administered and mobile-based surveys allow respondents to complete questionnaires independently via mobile devices or digital platforms. In many of our studies, this approach enhances operational efficiency and minimises interviewer bias.
In practice, clients typically choose this approach to:
Observational and facility-based assessments are used to measure conditions, service availability, and compliance with defined standards. Data are collected using structured and standardised quantitative instruments to ensure comparability and reliability.
In practice, clients typically choose this approach to:
o Evaluate institutional readiness and operational capacity
We believe that methodology is only as strong as the context it’s applied to. Myriad combines specialized sector knowledge with a mastery of qualitative and quantitative tools to find the signals in the noise. From rural development to digital transformation, we transform complex field realities into clear, actionable intelligence.
What differentiates Myriad is our ability to bridge rigorous research with real-world application, ensuring that insights move beyond analysis and directly inform action.
